HIGHLIGHTS:

Ten-Drum Arts Percussion is a renowned drumming group that specializes in a hybrid drumming style, which uses a variety of drums and disciplines. They bring together the drumming cultures of the world, including Taiwanese aboriginal percussion, Japanese taiko drums, and the Chinese traditional drums.

  Song-Jiang Jhen Battle Array Show
HIGHLIGHTS:

Sung-Chiang Battle Array is one type of folk art performances usually held at temple fairs in Taiwan. First appeared in Taiwan during Zheng Chenggong Period in the late Ming Dynasty, Sung-Chiang Battle Array was first practiced by our ancestors as a military drill used to fight against bandits. It functioned to ˇ§maintain internal security and defend against outsidersˇ¦ invasionˇ¨.

  Aria of Paper
HIGHLIGHTS:

Mr. Hung had his first encounter with paper crafts at age four. At age eleven, he decided to pursue it, and by seventeen, it was his passion, and he decided to make it his life-long profession. One of the best paper craft artists in Taiwan, Mr. Hungˇ¦s artistry in paper is without boundaries.

  Fine Handicrafts
HIGHLIGHTS:

Taiwanese handicrafts are reflective of the farming traditions and everyday life of the people. They reveal the laid-back nature and the tenacity of its people.

  Clothing of the Native People
HIGHLIGHTS:

Evidence of human settlement in Taiwan dates back 30,000 years. Many scholars believe Taiwan is the origin of the Australasian languages, which is comprised of 1,268 languages, or roughly one-fifth of the known languages of the world. 85% of the 23 million people on the island are believed to be descendants of the aborigines. The beautiful clothes reflects the passionate and convivial nature of its people.

  Wu-Fu Diabolo Team
HIGHLIGHTS:

Wu-Fu Diabolo Team of the Wu-Fu Elementary School was established in 2002. It is famous for its extraordinary tricks and excellent performances. The diabolo sport involves juggling a prop consisting of a spool which is whirled and tossed on a string tied to two sticks, each stick in one hand. There is a variety of tricks that can be applied on a single string.
